WoW Alchemy Leveling Guide 1 - 525

I made this Alchemy guide for you so you level up your Alchemy profession as fast as possible from 1 to 525. It is of course compatible with the newest expansion Cataclysm.

In this Alchemy Leveling Guide I included all the materials you need for crafting, so you will just fly through the leveling process. For Alchemy it is recommended to have also Herbalism profession. So you may also want to check my Herbalism Leveling Guide as well.

If you want to earn a lot of money with your professions (also with farming certain materials), I warmly recommend this Tycoon Gold Addon. It is an in-game addon, with it you will dominate the game without endless grinding.

If you are leveling up your character, I would recommend you a good WoW Leveling Guide, which shows you in-game (it's an addon) where to go and which quest to do. Personally I use Zygor Guides and it took me 5 days of playtime from level 1 to 85.

First of all, you need to learn Alchemy. You must visit a Alchemy Trainer in one of the main Cities of Azeroth. You just ask guard for the exact location and learn Apprentice Alchemy.

The Vials you need to create potions, elixirs, you buy from "Alchemy Supplies" vendors. They are always near the Alchemy trainer.

  59 x [Minor Healing Potions]- 59 x Peacebloom, 59 x Silverleaf

  Spare all the potions, because you need them for the next step.

 

60 - 140

Visit the Alchemy trainer and learn Alchemy Journeyman.

You can make [Fire Oil] instead if you can't find enough [Stranglekelp] in the Auction House or if [Firefin Snapper] is very cheap.

  If you made [Fire Oil],  use it to make [Elixir of Minor Accuracy] instead.

If you can't find enough Goldthorn, make [Mana Potion] or [Lesser Invisibility Potion] up to around 195. Recipes are yellow.

If can't find any Goldthorn, you can make [Nature Protection Potion] around 190 - 205. These vendors sell the recipe.

Visit the Alchemy trainer and learn Alchemy Artisan.

  If you are level 75 or more and you will level Alchemy past 500, skip this part. Your Your epic Alchemy trinketwill be used for transmutes.

  1 x [Philosopher's Stone] - 4 Iron Bar, 1 Black Vitriol, 4 Purple Lotus, 4 Firebloom

  Spare the Stone, you will need this for transmutes.

  5 x [Elixir of Greater Intellect]- 5 x Khadgar's Whisker, 5 x Blindweed

  If you don't have Goldthorn, make this Elixir up to 250.

• 240-265
  25 x [Elixir of Greater Agility]- 25 x Sungrass, 25 x Goldthorn

  The recipe will be yellow for the last few points, you might need to make more than 25. Make [Stonescale Oil] between 250-255 if you can find Stonescale Eel at the Auction House.

  If you don't have Goldthorn, make [Elixir of Greater Intellect] or [Superior Healing Potion] up to 250, then start making [Elixir of Detect Demon]

• 265-270
  5 x [Superior Mana Potion]- 10 x Sungrass, 10 x Blindweed

  If you made [Stonescale Oil], you should make a few [Elixir of Superior Defense]. The recipe is sold by these NPCs.

Visit your trainer and learn Alchemy Master.

  Choose one of the recipes below. You can switch to the next recipe at 310 if you want to.

  15 x [Volatile Healing Potion] - 15 x Golden Sansam, 15 x Felweed

  15 x [Adept's Elixir] - 15 x Dreamfoil, 15 x Felweed

  15 x [Onslaught Elixir] - 15 x Mountain Silversage, 15 x Felweed

  10 x [Elixir of Healing Power] - 10 x Golden Sansam, 10 x Dreaming Glory

Once you reach an Alchemy skill of 325 and level 68, you may begin a quest to learn one of three specializations: Potions, Elixirs or Transmutations. Being specialized gives you a chance to create an extra 1 to 4 (for a total 5) items while crafting in the field you have selected. For example, a Master of Potions may be able to craft more than one [Super Mana Potion] for the same material cost as one.

  Make [Mad Alchemist's Potion] if you have a lot of Ragveil.

  Make the previous recipe 5 more times if you don't have Netherbloom.

Visit your trainer and learn Alchemy Grand Master.

  You can make this one up to 385 and skip the next part of the guide.

  This recipe will be yellow for the last 5 points, you might need to make more than 10.

  When you reach 400, you can make a [Northrend Alchemy Research] and your Alchemy Trinket, so you will need to craft fewer potions.

  12 x [Elixir of Mighty Agility] - 24 x Goldcover, 24 x Adder's Tongue

• 405-415
  10 x [Indestructible Potion] - 20 x Icethorn

• 415-425

  This recipe turns green at 422, so you might need to make more than 20.

  20 x [Runic Mana Potion] - 20 x Goldcover, 40 x Lichbloom

  You can also make [Deepstone Oil] between 470-475 and then turn the Deepstone Oils into [Mysterious Potion]. You should reach around 477 with this method.

  It is really important that you stop at 504, you will gain 10 skill points this way when you craft the next two recipe.

  Make your epic Alchemy trinket.

  Skip this part if you don't need the trinket. Transmute one [Dream Emerald] and then start the next recipe in the guide or start making [Flask of Titanic Strength] if Hessonite is expensive.

Leveling Alchemy is a good choice. It is quite profitable profession, you can earn a lot of gold with it. IMO, Tycoon Gold Addon is the best in-game addon ever made. Using it I found out all the other MUCH more profitable ways to get tons of gold easily. I warmly recommend it to you if you want to dominate the game without endless grinding.
