Obsidium Ore Farming

Do you want to level up your Mining, Engineering or Jewelcrafting? Or you just want to farm [Obsidium Ore] for profit? I have found out that I can make a lot of gold selling it in auction house. This Ore you can find in many new zones of Cataclysm. But these are my best ones.

Obsidium Ore

I recommend you to have leveled up your Mining up to at least 450. This is because there are two types of Obsidium deposits - normal and rich, and for the rich ones you need 450 Mining skill points. Before you go somewhere make sure you clear your bags, so you have plenty of space. This way you save a lot of time. And of course DON'T FORGET the Mining Pick! :) These three zones I recommend you to visit:

Mount Hyjal

The best place to farm Obsidium Ore is in Mount Hyjal. There are really lots of deposits, even few rich ones. Also the respawn rate is fast.

Vashj'ir - Shimmering Expanse

Shimmering Expanse in Vashj'ir is a good alternative, because the rout is very simple. However it is not a good place if there are lots of other players mining. Also the respawn rate is very fast. Make sure you do the quests to get the underwater mount. Here is the route:

Obsidium Ore farming and selling it in Auction House may be one of the ways to earn gold in World of Warcraft. IMO, Tycoon Gold Addon is the best in-game addon ever made. Using it I found out all the other MUCH more profitable ways to get tons of gold easily. I warmly recommend it to you if you want to dominate the game without endless grinding.
