Rugged Leather Farming

Do you want to level up your Skinning and Leatherworking? Or you just want to farm [Rugged Leather] for profit? I have found out that I can make a lot of gold selling it in auction house. There are quite few good farming spots all around the Azeroth. But I have made a list of the best ones.

Rugged Leather

Keep in mind that if you want to skin mobs, you need to loot them first. This means while farming you can get a lot of other thrash loot (of course also worth some gold, so don't throw it away). So make yourself a favor and before you go anywhere, clear your bags!

Dire Maul -  North (dungeon)

If you are level 85 the Best Place to farm Rugged Leather is in Dire Maul - North, located in Feralas. You go in, kill Gordok Mastiffs in the first pit area, then loot and skin, go out, reset the instance, repeat. Here is the location of Diremaul

Blasted Lands

A good place to farm Rugged leather is in Blasted lands. Just run in a circle (like it is drawn below) and kill Ashmane Boars and other beasts like Snickerfang Hyena. In every major city there is a portal to Blasted Lands, but you must level 55+. The portals are near the mage portal trainers.

Winterspring

Here in Winterspring the drop rate is a bit lower if you compare to the Blasted Lands. But the Yetis you farm Rugged Leather from are very close to each other and there are lots of them. You also get some Thick Leather. Check the map:

Rugged Leather farming and selling it in Auction House may be one of the ways to earn gold in World of Warcraft. IMO, Tycoon Gold Addon is the best in-game addon ever made. Using it I found out all the other MUCH more profitable ways to get tons of gold easily. I warmly recommend it to you if you want to dominate the game without endless grinding.
