Fishing Leveling Guide | WoW Fishing Guide 1 - 525
I made this Fishing guide for you so you level up your Fishing secondary profession as fast as possible from 1 to 525. It is of course compatible with the newest expansion Cataclysm.
Leveling Fishing is a unique procedure. You can level up from 1 to 525 in any fishabe water. The speed of leveling does not depend on the area you fish, you can level up all up to 525 just with staying at Orgrimmar. What matters is a number of successful catches. Here is the formula how many successful catches you need for a skill-up:
(Current Fishing Skill - 75) / 25 = Rough number of successful catches for a skill-up.
This means around 1 - 75 you will skill up pretty much on every successful catch, but when you advance in leveling, you will need more and more catches for skill-up. For example, at 300+ you need around 10 catches per skill-up.
From my experience, you need to catch around 3000 fish to level up from 1 to 525. Fishing goes very well with cooking, so you may also want to check my Cooking Leveling Guide.
If you want to earn a lot of money with your professions (also with farming certain materials), I warmly recommend this Tycoon Gold Addon. It is an in-game addon, with it you will dominate the game without endless grinding.
If you are leveling up your character, I would recommend you a good WoW Leveling Guide, which shows you in-game (it's an addon) where to go and which quest to do. Personally I use Zygor Guides and it took me 5 days of playtime from level 1 to 85.
Fishing Leveling Guide 1 - 525
First of all, you need to learn Fishing. You must visit a Fishing Trainer in one of the main Cities of Azeroth. You just ask guard for the exact location and learn Apprentice Fishing.
Next thing you need to do is to buy a Fishing Pole. It is sold by trade goods vendors and fishing suppliers. Now you just to go the nearest fishable water and fish up to 525. Yeah, it really is that simple, but time consuming. :) Of course, don't forget to visit a Fishing Trainer on 75, 150, 225, 375 and 450.
Leveling Fishing is almost a must for every class. You can also earn quite a lot with selling fish. IMO, Tycoon Gold Addon is the best in-game addon ever made. Using it I found out all the other MUCH more profitable ways to get tons of gold easily. I warmly recommend it to you if you want to dominate the game without endless grinding.
