Herbalism Leveling Guide | WoW Herbalism Guide 1 - 525
I made this Herbalism guide for you so you level up your Herbalism profession as fast as possible from 1 to 525. It is of course compatible with the newest expansion Cataclysm.
In this Herbalism Leveling Guide I included all the best routes and zones, so you will just fly through the leveling process. Herbalism goes well with Alchemy and Inscription. So you may also want to check my Alchemy Leveling Guide or Inscription Leveling Guide as well.
If you want to earn a lot of money with your professions (also with farming certain materials), I warmly recommend this Tycoon Gold Addon. It is an in-game addon, with it you will dominate the game without endless grinding.
If you are leveling up your character, I would recommend you a good WoW Leveling Guide, which shows you in-game (it's an addon) where to go and which quest to do. Personally I use Zygor Guides and it took me 5 days of playtime from level 1 to 85.
Here are the sections of the guide:
Apprentice 1 - 70
Journeyman 70 - 150
Expert 150 - 230
Artisan 230 - 285
Master 285 - 330
Grand Master 325 - 425
Illustrious 425 - 525
Herbalism Leveling Guide 1 - 70
First of all, you need to learn Herbalism. You must visit a Herbalism Trainer in one of the main Cities of Azeroth. You just ask guard for the exact location and learn Apprentice Herbalism.
For the first 70 points, you can farm herbs at any of the starting zones. But if you are not level 1 anymore, I recommend one of the following zones.
Herbs to gather: [Peacebloom], [Silverleaf], [Earthroot]
Elwynn Forest
Tirisfal Glades
Herbalism Guide 70 - 150
Visit the Herbalism trainer and go to Hillsbrad Foothills. It is a Horde territory so I don't recommend it if you are low level Alliance. For kind of players I advise you to go to Darkshore, at 115 to Ashenvale or Westfall, at 125 to Northern Stranglethorn. But here at Hillsbrad Foothlls you can level up all the way from 70 to 150.
For the Horde players this zone is even better, because there is a Herbalism trainer in Tarren Mill, so you can visit her when you reach 150.
Herbs to gather: [Mageroyal], [Briarthorn], [Bruiseweed]
Hillsbrad Foothills
From 70 to 125 you follow red line, from 125 to 150 yellow one.
Herbalism Leveling Guide 150 - 230
Visit the Herbalism trainer to learn Herbalism Expert. Let me mention that for the first 10 points you cannot gather Khadgar's Whisker, and also for the last 20 points, the herbs become green, but I recommend to gather them anyway since is the fastest way if you stay it these zones. Btw, there is no Goldthorn in Western Plaguelands. If you want to gather them, go to Feralas.
When you reach 200, you need to visit the trainer again.
Herbs to gather: [Kingsblood], [Fadeleaf], [Khadgar's Whisker], [Goldthorn]
Feralas
Western Plaguelands
Herbalism Guide 230 - 285
For this part you will be gathering [Sungrass] and I recommend going to Thousand Needles. You can also visit Eastern Plaguelands, but there are is a lot of [Khadgar's Whisker], which is green and gray for you. Thousand Needles is a great place also because you just go in circle around the map and you cannot miss any herb.
Herbs to gather: [Sungrass]
Thousand Needles
If you are not high level enough to have flying mount, then you just follow red line and turn back where you came from. Because where I marked with dots, you need to fly. If you have flying mount, then you make all the circle (at the end of the red line, follow the yellow one).
Eastern Plaguelands
Herbalism Leveling Guide 285 - 325
Visit Herbalism trainer and learn Master Herbalism.
Herbs to gather:
Swamp of Sorrows: [Golden Sansam], [Sorrowmoss]
Felwood: [Gromsblood], [Purple Lotus], [Dreamfoil], [Golden Sansam]
Swamp of Sorrows
There is no specific route here in Swamp of Sorrows, because this place is full of herbs. Just walk around and gather everything you can.
Fellwood
Herbalism Guide 325 - 350
Here the route is like this: red - just follow the line, yellow - herbs are all inside the circles.
Herbs to gather: [Felweed], [Dreaming Glory], [Terocone]

Herbalism Leveling Guide 350 - 400

The next step is to go to Howling Fjord.
Herbs to gather: mostly [Goldclover], and [Tiger Lily] - but you are not able to gather it untill 375
Howling Fjord
Herbalism Guide 400 - 425
For this step, the Sholazar Basin is the best zone. It is full of Herbs. In fact you can stay here up to 450 if want, it's up to you.
Herbs to gather: [Adder's Tongue], [Goldclover], [Tiger Lily]
Sholazar Basin
Herbalism Leveling Guide 425 - 475
Visit Herbalism trainer and learn Herbalism Illustrious.
Now go to Mount Hyjal. You can stay here untill 500 or you can go to Deepholm after 475.
Herb to gather: [Cinderbloom]
Mount Hyjal
Herbalism Leveling Guide 475 - 500
As I said you can come here to Deepholm at 475 or 500 if you prefer to stay at Mount Hyjal. There are herbs all inside the yellow circles.
Herb to gather: [Heartblossom]
Deepholm
Herbalism Guide 500 - 525
For the final step in this Herbalism Leveling Guide, go to Uldum.
Herb to gather: [Whiptail]
Uldum
Leveling Herbalism is a good choice. It is quite profitable profession, you can earn a lot of gold with it. IMO, Tycoon Gold Addon is the best in-game addon ever made. Using it I found out all the other MUCH more profitable ways to get tons of gold easily. I warmly recommend it to you if you want to dominate the game without endless grinding.
