I made this Jewelcrafting guide for you so you level up your Jewelcrafting profession as fast as possible from 1 to 525. It is of course compatible with the newest expansion Cataclysm.

In this Jewelcrafting Leveling Guide I included all the materials you need for crafting, so you will just fly through the leveling process. For Jewelcrafting it is recommended to have also Mining profession. So you may also want to check my Mining Leveling Guide as well. Enchanting is another option, so you may also want to check my Enchanting Leveling Guide.

If you want to earn a lot of money with your professions (also with farming certain materials), I warmly recommend this Tycoon Gold Addon. It is an in-game addon, with it you will dominate the game without endless grinding.

If you are leveling up your character, I would recommend you a good WoW Leveling Guide, which shows you in-game (it's an addon) where to go and which quest to do. Personally I use Zygor Guides and it took me 5 days of playtime from level 1 to 85.

1 - 50
50 - 150
150 - 200

Mats required to level up from 1 to 525:

  • 100 x Copper Bar
  • 20 x Tigerseye or 20 x Malachite
  • 120 x Bronze Bar = 60 x Copper Bar, 60 x Tin Bar
  • 60 x Shadowgem or 20 x Shadowgem and 20 x Small Lustrous Pearl
  • 80 x Heavy Stone
  • 30 x Moss Agate / 60 x Lesser Moonstone for Horde
  • 140 x Mithril Bar
  • 80 x Solid Stone
  • 25 x Citrine
  • 15 x Truesilver Bar
  • 5 x Aquamarine
  • 50 x Thorium Bar
  • 10 x Star Ruby
  • 20 x Large Opal
  • 10 x Powerful Mojo or 10 x Blue Sapphire
  • 10 x Essence of Earth or 10 x Essence of Undeath
  • 20 x Huge Emerald
  • 55 x green gems OR 40 x and 15 x Black Diamond - Here is the list of green gems. Don't buy them all, buy them when you get to that part of the guide.
  • 40 x Adamantite Powder (200 x Adamantite Ore)
  • 10 x Primal Earth
  • 10 x Adamantite Bar
  • Around 70 x any of the following gems: Bloodstone, Chalcedony, Dark Jade, Huge Citrine, Shadow Crystal, Sun Crystal. But you MUST have 5 Bloodstones, you need them to get to 395.
  • 46 x Eternal Earth or 23 x Eternal Earth and 23 x Eternal Shadow
  • 5 x Forest Emerald
  • 5 x Titanium Bar
  • 5 x Dream Shard
  • 45 x any of the following gems: Carnelian, Alicite, Jasper, Zephyrite.
  • 16 x Hessonite
  • 40 x Nightstone
  • Mats for 495-525. Just check that section of the guide.

 

Jewelcrafting Leveling Guide 1 - 50

First of all, you need to learn Jewelcrafting. You must visit a Jewelcrafting Trainer in one of the main Cities of Azeroth. You just ask guard for the exact location and learn Apprentice Jewelcrafting.

Jewelcrafting Guide 50 - 150

Visit the Jewelcrafting trainer and learn Jewelcrafting Journeyman.

  • 50-80

    50 x [Bronze Setting] - 100 x Bronze Bar

    Save all of them for later steps.

  • 110-120
    10 x [Heavy Stone Statue]- 80 x Heavy Stone

    You can make this up to 130 if you buy Heavy Stone for low price.

 

Jewelcrafting Leveling Guide 150 - 200

Visit the Jewelcrafting trainer and learn Jewelcrafting Expert.

 

Jewelcrafting Guide 200 - 300

Visit the Jewelcrafting trainer and learn Jewelcrafting Artisan.

 

Jewelcrafting Leveling Guide 300 - 350

Visit the Jewelcrafting trainer and learn Jewelcrafting Master.

From now on you use the recipes that are yellow to you.

    • 300-320

      Cut 30 of one of the following gems

[Brilliant Blood Garnet]
[Solid Azure Moonstone]
[Radiant Deep Peridot]
[Inscribed Flame Spessarite]
[Timeless Shadow Draenite]

If you are not yet at 350, cut some gems from previous step.

 

Jewelcrafting Guide 350 - 425

Visit the Jewelcrafting trainer and learn Jewelcrafting Grand Master.

  • 420 - 425

    5 x [Dream Signet] - 5 x Titanium Bar, 5 x Dream Shard, 5 x Forest Emerald

 

Jewelcrafting Leveling Guide 425 - 525

Visit the Jewelcrafting trainer and learn Jewelcrafting Illustrious Grand Master.

  • 425 - 450
    Cut 25 gems from any of the new Uncommon Gem Cuts.
  • 495 - 525
    From this point, most of the recipes will be purchased from vendor. You need to do the Jewelcrafting daily quests if you want to buy any of these recipes. Horde players can find Marith Lazuria at Orgrimmar and Alliance players can find Isabel Jonesin Stormwind. These NPCs start the daily quests.

    Between 495-500, you could also make a few more Nightstone Choker, then you can make [Fire Prism] at 500. [Fire Prism] has a 20 hour cooldown, but it can contain [Chimera's Eye]. You should make [Fire Prism] every day.

    In short, you either make Nightstone Choker between 495-500, or you do the daily quests for 4 days and buy a meta gem recipe then make that one up to 525, and do the Fire Prism recipe every day. Meta gem recipes turn green at 520, so be prepared to make a lot if you want to reach 525 as fast as possible. The best possible way is to stop at 520, and make one Fire Prism for 5 days

 

Leveling Jewelcrafting is a good choice. It is quite profitable profession, you can earn a lot of gold with it. IMO, Tycoon Gold Addon is the best in-game addon ever made. Using it I found out all the other MUCH more profitable ways to get tons of gold easily. I warmly recommend it to you if you want to dominate the game without endless grinding.
