Mining Leveling Guide | WoW Mining Guide 1 - 525
I made this Mining guide for you so you level up your Mining profession as fast as possible from 1 to 525. It is of course compatible with the newest expansion Cataclysm.
In this Mining Leveling Guide I included all the best routes and zones, so you will just fly through the leveling process. Mining goes well with Blacksmithing, Engineering and Jewelcrafting. If you want to earn a lot of money with your professions (also with farming certain materials), I warmly recommend this Tycoon Gold Addon. It is an in-game addon, with it you will dominate the game without endless grinding.
If you are leveling up your character, I would recommend you a good WoW Leveling Guide, which shows you in-game (it's an addon) where to go and which quest to do. Personally I use Zygor Guides and it took me 5 days of playtime from level 1 to 85.

Mining Leveling Guide 1 - 50
First of all, you need to learn Mining. You must visit a Mining Trainer in one of the main Cities of Azeroth. You just ask guard for the exact location and learn Apprentice Mining.

Mining Guide 50 - 100
Visit the Mining trainer and learn Mining Journeyman.
Ores to mine: [Tin Ore], [Silver Ore]
Hillsbrad Foothills
Hillsbrad Foothills is a great place to get Tin ore. First you go and follow the red line. After you make a full circle, follow the yellow ones. When you farm it, go back to the red path, most likely the Tin will be respawned again.

Another alternative is to go to Northern Stranglethorn.

Visit the Mining trainer and learn Mining Expert.

The best zones for this part of Mining leveling are Felwood and Burning Steppes, because the routes are so simple to follow.

Visit the Mining trainer and learn Mining Artisan.
Buy Thorium Ores and smelt them until 215. The point is that with 215 skill, you can mine Rich Thorium Veins, not just the small ones. You can actually smelt Thorium up to 275 if you want to, sell the Thorium Bars later at the Auction House if you don't need them.
When you reach 275, you can go to Hellfire Peninsula and mine Fel Iron or you can stay in the zones listed below until you reach 300.

Visit the Mining trainer and learn Mining Master.
You will mine Fell Iron. If you want, you can mine it up to 350 and skip the Nagrand section of the guide.
Hellfire Peninsula

Here you are gonna mine [Adamantite Ore]. Sometimes you will find also Rich Adamantite Deposits, but you won't be able to mine them untill 350. With yellow I marked the caves you should go into them, they are full of Adamantite.

Visit the Mining trainer and learn Mining Grand Master. You can go to Borean Tundra or to Howling Fjord to farm Cobalt. I prefer Borean Tundra, because I can farm there more.

My favorite place to farm Saronite is Wintergrasp. But note that when the battle is on, you can't use your flying mount till it is over. In Wintergrasp there are also lots of Rich Saronite Deposits, but you can't farm them yet. If there are too many of them, you should go to Sholazar Basin.

Mining Leveling Guide 425 - 475
Visit the Mining trainer and learn Mining Illustrious.
Mount Hyjal and Vashj'ir are perfect zones for farming Obsidium Ore. There are a lot more Obsidium in Hyjal than in Vashj'ir, but it's also more crowded. If you want to mine in Vashj'ir, make sure you do all the starting quests so you get get your underwater mount.

There will also be some Pyrite Deposits (able to mine them at 525) and Rich Elementium Veins (able to mine them at 500).
Leveling Mining is a good choice. It is quite profitable profession, you can earn a lot of gold with it. IMO, Tycoon Gold Addon is the best in-game addon ever made. Using it I found out all the other MUCH more profitable ways to get tons of gold easily. I warmly recommend it to you if you want to dominate the game without endless grinding.
